In 1989 Porsche introduced the "all-new" 911 referred to internally at Porsche AG as the 964 Generation. This was the first major revision in almost 16 years. While the 911 retained the fantastic G50 5-Speed Gearbox, the Flat Six Engine attached to it grew in displacement from 3.2L to 3.6L. Horsepower was up significantly and now rated at 247 bhp. The 964 911 would go on to offer the widest model range to date including Four Wheel Drive and a Tiptronic Automatic Transmission; both firsts for Porsche in a regular production car. The 964 911's still echo the unmistakable sound of an air-cooled, flat six.

The car we have here is a 1993 911 C2 Cabriolet. The two wheel drive platform is known for its performance and reliability. This 55,000 mile example sports a slick shifting manual transmission, it drives like a dream. Although this car would not be characterized as a show car, it has indeed been well cared for. The top is clean and in excellent condition. The leather shows the typical patina of a 25 year old classic. The Guards Red paint is still shiny and retains a nice luster. The wheels are free of scuffs. The engine compartment is clean and tidy.
