Factory Cabriolet Hardtop with Numbers Matching Drivetrain

Gaudin Porsche of Las Vegas and Gaudin Classic proudly offer this 1959 Porsche 356 A 1600 Cabriolet Hardtop. The Reutter body exterior is finished in ivory white with a red leatherette interior. The chassis retains the original numbers-matching 1.6L engine and transmission. The removable hardtop was a rare accessory first made available for 1958-59 model cabriolets.

Although originally a German delivery vehicle. the last owner acquired the car in 1969 from California. While under their 53 years of ownership, the vehicle received a well-documented restoration in 1991 from Targa Porsche Workshop Incorporated out of Texas. It was at this time the color was changed from the original black to the current ivory white. The engine, transmission, suspension, and brake were also rebuilt. The interior was refinished by Auto International shortly before the restoration was completed in late 1993 with 42,443 miles. The odometer currently reads 45,165 miles and is believed to be the actual miles.
